Cocoa planting:
　　A cocoa tree needs the decade to grow up, mature cocoa tree can reach 15 meters, the small straw yellow and pink flower is on the trunk or main branches, only little part can become fruit in 100,000 flowers, the fruit also grows on trunk directly, looks very unusual. Fruit grows from flower demand three or four months, the length lies on the environment.

Each fruit can reach 30cm in wideness, reach 300-500 grams in weight, they have tough crust, assume yellow or red, 40-50 grains of cocoa seeds grow in the ropy flesh. The fresh cocoa bean is not only bitter but also sour, cocoa bean that has been handled assumes black and brown, this is just the shape of chocolate bean that we see normally.
　　Each cocoa tree can harvest 1-2,000 grams of cocoa bean one year only, and through ferment, drying, winnowing, grinding, that we can get cocoa mass, then refine cocoa powder, cocoa butter, these are main material of chocolate.

Knowledge: difference between cocoa bean and coffee bean
　　Coffee tree originates from Ethiopia of Africa, belongs to evergreen tree of rubiaceous coffee subgenus, only grows in tropic or semi-tropic, from 25 degrees of northern latitudes to 25 degrees of southern latitudes. The shape of seed looks like bean, therefore, called coffee bean.
　　After three years, coffee tree will bloom (white flower), and fade after two or three days, fruit when several months later. The fruit is drupe, the diameter of fruit is about 1.5cm, mature fruit assumes red, similar to cherry very much, then called cherry coffee. After the time of harvest, dry them and separate the flesh from the seed, then get the coffee bean.
　　Nowadays, the most important coffee bean in the world mainly comes from three original breeds: Allah, Robert Tower and Liberia.
